Introduction - Position Overview

Reporting to the CPO, the TA Sr Manager is responsible for leading and enhancing the recruitment and hiring function. This role will drive the creation, evolution and implementation of talent acquisition and DEIB programs, strategies and KPI’s that address and measure immediate and long term staffing and engagement goals. The right leader will help transform recruiting into a high performance function in tight partnership with the business while driving an unparalleled candidate experience. S/he/they will need to be both operational and strategic, willing to roll-up his/her/their sleeves high, be resourceful and ready to move at a fast-pace. S/he/they should be prepared to bring best practices to implement, as well as establish and own a strong relationship with the broader People team, executive team and leadership across the company in both the US and Thailand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a resourceful, proactive consultative, service and solution-oriented recruiting function, and establish self as the company’s #1 TA SME
  • Set recruiting goals/expectations in partnership with the CPO and key stakeholder and meet or exceed such goals (time to fill, quality of hire, candidate and hiring manager experience, etc.)
  • Proactively seek and establish a strong partnership with business leaders and develop a deep understanding of hiring nuances
  • Collaborate with hiring managers/business leaders to create and execute recruiting strategies that cater to the varied needs while instituting best practices
  • Responsible for full life cycle recruiting - all hiring manager communications, job description preparation/posting, sourcing, submit candidates, relationship management, issue resolution, setting process/procedural expectations, coordinating new hire setup/logistics, etc.
  • Develop sourcing strategies that maximize the qualified candidate pool. Determine proper mix of sourcing modalities to ensure cost effective and creative recruitment of quality candidates (e.g. online channels, social media, contingency firms, retained firms, referrals, media, professional associations, university relationships, etc.)
  • Lead annual workforce planning, and develop/maintain hiring forecasts and succession planning to ensure proactive candidate pipeline development across all teams
  • Gather feedback on recent hires and service levels through survey and qualitative feedback and monthly meetings with hiring managers and the People team
  • Manage all Immigration matters with new and existing employees
  • Responsible for full new hire offer process and ensure compensation packages are competitive with market and industry standards. This includes offer generation, background and reference checks.
  • Ensure RentSpree’s guiding principles are incorporated into the recruitment process and practices, focusing on the identification, selection and retention of a talented and diverse workforce
  • Partner with the People Experience & Culture Sr Manager on employer branding initiatives, ensuring a strong and compelling presence on external career sites, e.g. LinkedIn and Glassdoor
  • Build and oversee the company’s first internship program
  • Research, contact and develop relationships with local universities, community, and professional groups to further promote the company and build a new diverse talent pipeline
  • Consider the value of participating at on-site recruiting events, e.g. hackathons and meetups, and offsite events, e.g. career fairs and conferences and ultimately owning
  • Participate in DEIB internal and external initiatives with the goal of attracting, growing, engaging and retaining a rich and diverse workforce
  • Manage and optimize the recruiting activities, tracking and reporting of key metrics on a regular cadence to all stakeholders
  • Responsible for creating recruiting budget and managing costs
  • Negotiate vendor agreements and manage relationships with contingency and retained search firms to ensure cost-effective partnerships, quality performance and following of agency guidelines as needed
  • Partner with HR, IT, Facilities and Finance peers in all aspects of the candidate and new hire experience and ensuring a smooth, seamless, efficient, and quality onboarding process
  • Cover as needed NEO and onboarding when the Assoc Dir of L&OD is out
  • Assist with other special projects as required

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree; masters a plus
  • 7+ years experience in recruiting and/or HR ideally in a tech, high-performing and/or start-up organization
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with hiring managers
  • Proven ability to stay abreast of market and competitive trends
  • Strong influencing skills and demonstrated ability to quickly establish rapport, build credibility and create partnerships at all levels within the company
  • Exceptional interpersonal, social and communications skills with strong business acumen, polish and excellent customer service skills ensuring an incredible candidate experience
  • Knowledge of common human resources practices, employment and immigration laws and/or government compliance regulations as it relates to recruitment and hiring
  • Experience leading DEI strategies, programs and initiatives is a plus
  • Comfortable and cool under pressure and able to prioritize well and juggle a lot of diverse responsibilities
  • Metric oriented with a strong analytical mind, with the ability to display key TA metrics in a succinct and compelling way
  • Must be self-sufficient, driven and passionate about making a difference and contributing to the success of the company, with exceptional emotional intelligence
  • Able to attend periodic after-hours networking events, seminars and career fairs
  • Personable, supportive, collaborative and encouraging; Knows how to balance business and fun
  • Is credible and has impeccable follow through and attention to detail
  • Deep experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and other search and marketing tools
  • Highly resourceful, creative, collaborative, motivated and driven
  • SME with LinkedIn, and experience with other popular recruiting channels and job boards. Experience with Rippling’s Applicant Tracking System is a plus
  • 10% travel to Seattle and Los Angeles
