Do you like to bring order to chaos by working with a team of talented, uplifting people? Do you enjoy both the joy of software and the thrill of real physical stuff? We are seeking a manufacturing software technical program manager to help us organize, track, and prioritize our manufacturing software efforts. This is an intensely collaborative position, and while it’s very remote-friendly, candidates must be able to work in real-time with colleagues in a manufacturing facility in the US Central timezone.

As a manufacturing software technical program manager working at Oxide, you will:

  • Collaborate with other functions across operations, hardware engineering and software engineering to understand the dependencies between work streams and implement best practices around program management for our manufacturing software

  • Organize and communicate manufacturing software release processes such as scheduling, planning, and testing cycles

  • Nimbly manage projects large and small as we scale our manufacturing software team and drive enhancements necessary to assure that we make a highest quality product

  • Communicate regularly with operations teams to ensure transparency in plans and progress towards manufacturing priorities, adjusting plans thoughtfully as priorities change

  • Contribute to process documentation and help maintain the accuracy of data in our program management tools, making recommendations as needed to improve our ways of working

  • Contribute to areas of the product that interest you beyond your day-to-day program management duties

You will thrive in this role if you:

  • Enjoy watching How It’s Made

  • Have previously worked with complex software deliverables involving multiple teams

  • Have worked with physical infrastructure in some operational capacity, be it as a team deploying on and/or operating hardware or in a manufacturing context

  • Are energized by the thought of operating between traditional roles and silos

  • Enjoy organizing and aren’t intimidated by ambiguity

  • Value the written word, can concisely communicate in written form

  • Get excited about a wide range of technical topics and dig really deeply into them
