Do you like to bring order to chaos by working with a team of talented, uplifting people? We are seeking a software technical program manager to help us organize, track, and prioritize our software efforts. This is an intensely collaborative position, and while it’s very remote-friendly, candidates must be able to work a US Pacific timezone schedule.

As a software program manager working at Oxide, you will:

  • Collaborate with other functions across hardware and software engineering to understand the dependencies between work streams and implement best practices around program management

  • Work with internal stakeholders on product software development priorities, schedule, and tradeoffs – clarify product software goals more than manage activity towards unclear goals

  • Organize and communicate software release processes such as scheduling, planning, and testing cycles. Support teams in identifying and mitigating blockers and risks

  • Nimbly manage projects large and small as we scale our software team across products and drive feature enhancements

  • Communicate regularly with customer facing teams to ensure transparency in plans and progress towards customer priorities. Adjust plans thoughtfully as priorities change

  • Contribute to process documentation and help maintain the accuracy of data in our program management tools. Make recommendations to improve our ways of working

  • Contribute to other areas of the product that interest you–beyond your day-to-day program management duties

You will thrive in this role if you:

  • Have previously worked with complex software deliverables involving multiple teams

  • Are a people person who can drive clear communication within engineering teams and between engineering teams and the rest of the company

  • Can work hours that corresponding to working hours in the US Pacific timezone

  • Are energized by the thought of operating between traditional roles and silos

  • Enjoy organizing and aren’t intimidated by ambiguity

  • Value the written word, can concisely communicate in written form

  • Get excited about a wide range of technical topics and dig really deeply into them
