We continue to grow and are adding a Senior Accountant to our Finance team. This is a broad role encompassing everything from closing the books to analysis. You will be the right-hand person to the VP of Finance and Accounting and will be responsible for the accounting activities of the department. Joining the finance team and company at this early stage means there is a lot of opportunity for growth. What you will do in the role:

  • Assist with the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable/collections, billing, general ledger, and taxes
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Assist with budget and forecast preparation and related reporting
  • Assist with quarterly board meeting preparation
  • Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested
  • Assist with financial reports for stockholders, taxes, regulatory agencies, and other financial groups relating to company financial operations
  • Qualifications and attributes for success in the Senior Staff Accountant role:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required. CPA/CPA candidate or MBA preferred.
  • 5 - 7 years of progressive corporate accounting, or 2-3 years at a CPA firm experience is required
  • SaaS, software/technology company experience is required
  • Experience with annual external financial audit and corporate tax filing preferred
  • Proficiency with accounting software, preferably QuickBooks Online and some experience with a software system implementation is a plus
  • Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP – specifically ASC 606
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of an organization
  • Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results
  • Financial modeling and forecasting experience preferred
  • Sales operations and commission analysis experience preferred
  • Intermediate to advance Microsoft Excel skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively and efficiently in a work from home environment
