Position Summary

As a Professional Services Sales Engineer (PS SE) and become a pivotal player in revolutionizing software delivery. In this dynamic role, you will lead discovery sessions with potential and existing customers to uncover their unique implementation needs and craft tailored Statements of Work (SOWs). Your technical expertise in SDLC, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and cloud optimization will enable you to provide invaluable consultation and drive impactful business outcomes. About the role

  1. Lead PS Discovery Sessions: Collaborate with potential and existing Harness customers to conduct comprehensive discovery sessions. Identify their unique implementation and adoption needs by delving deep into their process, tools and challenges.
  2. PS Services & Custom SOW Creation: Utilize insights gathered from discovery sessions to align to Harness PS offering and when needed craft SOWs to align precisely with customer requirements, ensuring clarity and accuracy in project scope and deliverables.
  3. Technical Consultation: Leverage your technical expertise to consult clients on SDLC improvements. Provide guidance and recommendations on various aspects including Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), DevSecOps practices, Cloud Cost optimization, Internal Developer Portals (IDP), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  4. PS Offerings Optimization: Act as a bridge between customers and internal teams, gathering valuable feedback from Harness customers. Utilize this feedback to continuously refine and optimize our Professional Services offerings, ensuring they remain aligned with evolving customer needs and industry best practices.

About you

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of SDLC processes and related technologies, including CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps practices, cloud platforms, and software development automation tools.
  • Consultative Skills: Ability to engage with clients in consultative discussions, understanding their pain points and offering tailored solutions.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic environment, with the flexibility to adapt to changing customer requirements and priorities
  • Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams, including sales, product, and engineering.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $164,000 - $175,000 annually. Salary is determined by a combination of factors including location, level, relevant experience, and skills. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.
