POSITION SUMMARY
This is an amazing opportunity to be a Staff software engineer in a high-growth, high-potential startup and to work on redefining the Software Engineering Insights product module within the Harness developer platform. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting, designing, developing, and delivering high-quality software that directly impacts the company's product experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Design, develop, and maintain critical software in a fast-paced quality conscious environment.
● Author software functional specifications and design documents
● Quickly understand complex systems/code and own key pieces of the system, including the delivered quality
● Design and implementation of scalable algorithms.
● Diagnose and troubleshoot complex problems in a distributed computing environment.
● Perform peer reviews of specifications, designs, and code.
● Work alongside Site Reliability Engineers and cross-functional teams to diagnose/troubleshoot any production performance-related issues.
● You will own the End-to-end cycle of design, development, deployment and own the service in terms of monitoring, observability, scaling, reliability etc.
● We work in Java and Python. Our systems are built on top of Java, React, Docker, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, GCS.

ABOUT YOU

• Passion for designing elegant experiences that are approachable and just a bit playful.
• Extensive experience with JavaScript and other Front End technologies such as HTML and CSS
• Experience with any of ReactJS, AngularJS, BackboneJS, KnockoutJS, or EmberJS.
• Experience with responsive design and deep understanding of object-oriented design.
• Experience with performance debugging and benchmarking.
• Expertise in turning a design into cleanly architected HTML and CSS.
• Entrepreneurial spirit, priding yourself on getting things done with a high level of quality
• Strong desire to work in an unstructured, fast moving startup environment
• Tech degree in CS or equivalent with 6-9 years of industry experience
