Gappify is looking for a QA Automation Engineer (Contractor) in the Philippines. This candidate will help accelerate the culture of testing automation by building and maintaining automated test scripts. The right candidate will promote a culture where developers and QA are testing as early as possible in the development process. What you'll do

Primarily, this role will be in charge of improving Automation Script Development. Tasks under this include:

Develop and Maintain Automation Scripts: Create and refine automation scripts that enhance testing efficiency and coverage across our applications.
Ensure Cross-Environment Compatibility: Verify that scripts function seamlessly across various environments, including QA, Staging, UAT, and Production.
Implement Parameterized Testing: Utilize parameterization techniques to run test scripts with different input values, leveraging data-driven approaches such as JSON files, fixtures, and environment variables.
Design Modular Test Frameworks: Craft modular and reusable test scripts by breaking down tests into manageable functions or modules. Experience with the Page Object Model (POM) or similar frameworks is highly beneficial.
Create Reusable Code Components: Develop helper functions, utilities, and custom commands to enhance code maintainability and minimize redundancy.
Support Product and QA Demos: Participate in and conduct demonstrations of the automation scripts to stakeholders, showcasing progress and gathering feedback.

What you will bring to the team

Solid experience in Cypress and JavaScript-based automation.
Expertise in creating parameterized and modular scripts for scalable testing.
Familiarity with POM or similar design patterns for clean, maintainable code.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaboration and clear documentation.
