Associate, Marketing and Service Automation Specialist
CrowdStreet
About the Role - Associate, Marketing and Service Automation Specialist
We're looking for a Marketing and Service Automation Specialist who thrives at the intersection of data, automation, and personalized customer experience. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys translating broad marketing and investor communication concepts into scalable, automated journeys within Salesforce Lightning, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Salesforce Service Console —leveraging data, segmentation logic, and dynamic content. The role sits within the Member Relations team, which is responsible for sales and service to Crowd Street Members.
The top priorities of the Associate role are:
- Design and implement complex email journeys in SFMC, incorporating conditional logic, AMPscript, HTML, and behavioral triggers (e.g., clicks, form submissions)
- Create and manage custom Cloud Pages and Preference Centers that allow users to select communication cadence, topics, and frequency—then sync this data back into Salesforce CRM (SFDC) via data extensions or profile attributes
- Build interactive email experiences using radio buttons, dropdowns, and dynamic content that feed directly into subscriber profiles
- Set up automated list segmentation and bucket assignment based on recipient behavior (e.g., if user clicks Link A vs. Link B)
- Troubleshoot issues in existing email sequences and journeys, ensuring accuracy and proper flow
- Extract, clean, and normalize data from Salesforce for campaign use (heavy Excel work including VLOOKUPs, filtering, deduplication, etc.)
- Collaborate with broader marketing, sales, and product teams to translate business objectives into deployable marketing automation workflows
- Design, build and maintain reporting dashboards and analytics across the team’s marketing, sales and service operations
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Engineering, Sales and Operations on cross-departmental issues
Required Experience and Skills to be Successful:
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in Salesforce experience, with an emphasis on Marketing Cloud, including Automation Studio, Journey Builder, Email Studio, and AMPscript.
- 2+ years experience with HTML/CSS and dynamic content for email personalization.
- 2+ experience building and maintaining cloud pages and preference centers.
- Ability to work independently from broad direction or high-level requests and translate them into working SFMC implementations.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs, conditional logic, filtering large datasets)
- Experience with Salesforce CRM data models and integration points with SFMC and other tools
- Experience with troubleshooting and optimizing journeys, managing complex data extensions, and aligning subscriber behavior with marketing strategy.
- Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator Preferred
Beneficial Skills and Experience:
- 4 year Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with financial services, fintech, or investment platforms
- Prior involvement in investor communications or regulated marketing workflows
- Familiarity with SQL for querying data extensions
